Welcome to Vietnam!

Morning: Our vehicle and Guide from ABI HOLIDAYS will meet you at your hotel. We will visit the following places:

  • War Remnants Museum: is a place to display memorabilia in the fight against the US to save the country. Coming here, we will admire the modern war machines of that time, such as tanks, fighter planes, bombs and guns.
  • Chinatown + Binh Tay Market: trading center of Vietnamese and Chinese communities in Saigon. This place still preserves the architectural value of the Chinese from hundreds of years ago.
  • Thien Hau Pagoda: is one of the pagodas with the oldest history of the Chinese in Ho Chi Minh City. Besides the value of architectural art, sculpture, and ancient artifacts, this place also has another value, it’s not only a place to meet the religious needs but also a place of gathering and mutual assistance of Vietnamese people of Chinese origin.

Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: Our vehicle and Guide pick us up and we continue to visit Independence Palace, the former headquarters of the United States located in South Vietnam and Tan Dinh Church, a Catholic church in Ho Chi Minh City, belonging to Tan Dinh parish, outstanding with Gothic architecture with impressive pink tones. DAY 2: SAIGON  –  TAY NINH HOLYSEE – CU CHI TUNNELS – SAIGON (BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

Morning, after breakfast our Guide and car will pickup us at the hotel and head to a far area in Tay Ninh province to visit an important cultural relic of the South: The Tay Ninh Holysee. The architecture is a little bit strange, but the followers of the temple (Caodaists, a local sect of Buddhism) are nice, religious, and strongly believe in the Kindness which can improve the lives of everyone. Around 12:00 noon every day, the Cao Dai people gather up in the Holysee temples in their wait dress, carrying on a short but solemn ceremony.

After the visit, we will go for lunch before going back to Saigon with a visit of a strange construction: Cu Chi Tunnels. A huge underground system not far from Saigon, Cu Chi is the evidence of a very fierce war that the Vietnamese called “the War against the Americans” and the whole world calls it “The Vietnam War.” For many years before 1975, Cu Chi covered troops of Vietnamese guerillas not only from attacks but protected their daily lives; it became a strong base for the Vietnamese forces during the conflicts and is now a weird war remnant that can make anyone of us feel a stronger love to peace and everyday life upon each time visiting this place.
