Hoi An Ancient Town is an ancient urban located in the lower Thu Bon River, about 30 km from Da Nang city, in central Vietnam. This used to be a famous Eastern international trading port in the past. Hoi An is an ancient town with poetic features, when the day turns to night, the cool breezes bring a gentle air to hold each visitor’s feet. Ancient houses create the charm of Hoi An over time. Driving between ancient small streets with old quiet houses, shimmering lights reflecting a faint beauty through colorful lanterns make this ancient city even more charming.
In addition to the value of handmade decoration, lanterns in Hoi An also have practical value. Every night, lanterns hanging outside many houses and shops will be lit, especially in the area near the riverbank, with stalls, moss-roofed roofs, the scenery is both real and virtual, makes any step nostalgic. With its rich values of landscape, history and culture, in 1999, UNESCO listed the ancient city of Hoi An as a cultural heritage and included it on the World Heritage List.
