TET 2025 (19 JAN 2025)

7:45: the tour guide will meet all the guests at the meeting point (No. 4 Hang Chieu Street). We will walk to the Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center to experience the atmosphere of Vietnamese Tet!

8:00: the group of attendants to the ceremony in their ‘’Áo dài’’ (the Vietnamese traditional long dress for both men and women) will depart from the Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center to go through the streets of the Old Quarter toward the Kim Ngan Communal House (đình Kim Ngân). 

(You can join this parade, best in traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai, and this will be a memorable highlight of your Hanoi trip).

10:00: the main ceremony will start to take place at Dinh Kim Ngan. 

• 10:00 – 10:30: Honoring the village deities
• 10:00 – 11:00 Erecting the Cay Neu pole and introducing its history and significance during Tet
• 11:00 – 12:00: Folk performance celebrating the New Year

Have lunch at a local restaurant.  

Afternoon (At Kim Ngan Communal House)

• 14:00 – 16:00: “Hát Cửa đình” (A folklore singing at the gate of the rural communal houses). 
• 16:30: after the show, our guide will take us back to the meeting point (No. 4 Hang Chieu Street).

Conclude a day of experiencing Vietnam’s traditional Tet celebrations.
