Having a shorter history compared to its Northern sister, the South of Vietnam offers less traditional sightseeing points but more fascinating experience of a modern, dynamic life, especially on the Mekong delta, and plenty opportunities for real sharing moments with the locals and leisure at sunshine resorts.
From a dynamic city, to jungle, through mountains, and finishing on seaside and beaches… You will discover the authentic life of the South from its northern part to the Cambodian border. Of course meeting locals and tasting the perfumed and colorful gastronomy of each regions.
DAY 1. TAN SON NHAT AIRPORT – HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR – CU CHI TUNNEL (L, D)
Arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, first exploration of the bubbling Saigon. Main sightseeing and really iconic traditional places of the legendary town. Immersion in the narrow tunnels of Cu Chi and discover how people had survived hereby.
DAY 2. HO CHI MINH CITY – BEN TRE – CAN THO (B, L, D)
Departure to the green and luxuriant Mekong Delta, among jungle, rivers and coconut land. Degustation of specialties from the region: fresh fruits, pomelos, several coconuts products, Elephant Ear Fish for lunch… And a small cruise on river.
DAY 3. CAN THO – CHAU DOC (B, L)
Early wake up to take boat and visit the most animated Floating Market in Vietnam. Visit the farms in Can Tho on the way. Afternoon immersion to the fairy indigo forest of Tra Su indigo forest. Visit of Chau Doc region, entry point by boat to Cambodia, and exploration of a Cham village, where locals practice Sunni Islam.
DAY 4. CHAU DOC – VINH LONG – HO CHI MINH CITY (B, L)
Way back to Ho Chi Minh City in exploring the peaceful life of the Delta. Visit Phan Thanh Giang Confucious Tempple, the cottage industries of Cho Cua village, family factories making ceramic tile, tofu (bean curd), fish sauce factory, workshops of rice husking, blacksmiths and thatchers.
DAY 5. HO CHI MINH CITY – DALAT (B, L, D)
Transfer to the Alpine town of Dalat (Dalat, 300km from Saigon) for a unique charm with French chalets and pine forests. Visit of main sightseeing: art deco former Summer Palace of Emperor Bao Dai, Xuan Huong Lake and Lam Ty Ni Pagoda.
DAY 6. DA LAT – NHA TRANG (B, L)
Reaching the seaside by the road descends. Break the journey here to visit the 13th century Po Klong Jarai Cham Towers perched high on a rocky hill. Exploration of the Po Nagar Cham Towers and Long Son Pagoda and superb panorama view on the city and fish village.
DAY 7. NHA TRANG (B, L)
Boat trip on Nha Trang bay to visit some of the nearby islands, swim and snorkel in the clear warm water hereby. Local seafood lunch with freshly caught fish and shrimps, on one of the islands. Afternoon at leisure to relax on the beach.
DAY 8. NHA TRANG – MUI NE (B)
Direction to the South, for the peaceful Mui Ne, a beautiful city on the coast. Explore the fishing village in Mui Ne, stroll around its very famous pink sand-dunes and the Fairy stream. Afternoon at leisure to relax on the beach.
DAY 9. MUI NE – HO CHI MINH CITY (B)
Morning at leisure. Noon time transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 10. HO CHI MINH CITY – DEPARTURE (B)
Free time at leisure for a last shopping moment before transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your flight.
